They’re currently the most successful Band in Germany, their 3rd Album “Humanoid” has just been released, in February they’re starting their Tour. BILD talked with the 4 Teen-Rockers from “Tokio Hotel”, Bill (20), Tom (20), Georg (22) and Gustav (21), about love, fans and bad hearing.

BILD: After all these years, full of screaming girls, have you been at a hearing test?

Tom: „Nope. But Bill and I have had a poor hearing since birth. That’s why we’re talking so loud.“
Bill: „Yes, and when our hearing got even worse, then it’s because we hear super loud music and not because of alls the screaming. By the way, that’s the most wicked thing that exists! We think it’s great that our Fans scream they’re emotions out loud.“

Interviewer: Your new album is called Humanoid. What was the main theme?

Bill: Yeah, it’s a shame that an album doesn’t have a subject. There are many subjects that were inspired by our lives, our environment and things that happened during the year where we’ve worked on the new CD.

Interviewer: How would you describe the perfect Tokio Hotel fan?

Bill: The perfect fan enjoys listening to our music and also likes what we do, however they don’t download our music illegally on the internet.

Lady Gaga was so fascinated by our EMA performance that she called me a couple of days ago to ask how we did the burning piano and whether she could also do the same for her “Speechless” performance at the American Music Awards. Well, of course artists help each other and I think that she did a pretty awesome job ;-) What do you think?
